BINOCULARS - CHOOSING THE RIGHT ONES FOR YOU
Because binoculars enjoy a wide variety of uses, it's important to make sure that the type you select is designed for your needs.
Bird watching binoculars, hunting binoculars, marine binoculars, spectator binoculars, or travel binoculars all have specifications that make them suited for their individual use.
The two major concerns when it comes to choosing any binoculars are magnification and weight. Some pairs, like those used for astronomy, are so big and heavy that they require a tripod for support. These would be ill-suited for or fast-action sporting events.
By the numbers: The different types of binoculars are distinguished by a numerical designation, i.e. 10x50. The first number represents the power of magnification. In this example, the 10 means that the image appears ten times closer than it is.
The second number 50 is the diameter of the front lens measured in millimeters. The larger the diameter of the the more light that can enter, and the clearer and brighter the image you will receive.
Another number which is important is the field of view. A field of view of 300 feet at 1,000 yards means that if you viewed a mountain from 1,000 yards away, your view would include a section of mountain 300 feet long.
In general, the greater the magnification, the less the field of view there will be. Some binoculars come equipped with wide-angle eyepieces that increase field of view without decreasing magnification.
Remember that choosing binoculars is a two-part process, based as much on what you plan to do with them as on your personal preferences.
First, consider how you will use the binoculars. The style and type of your binoculars should be determined by how they will be used.
Choose between full-sized and compact models. Compact binoculars are small enough to fit in your hand, and replace the bulky size and heavier weights of full-size binoculars.
Both are equal in terms of magnification power, image quality, and price ranges. Some people do find compacts sometimes harder to adjust than full-size binoculars, and if you wear glasses, they can be more difficult to align.
Other than that, take your pick from among narrow-set, wide-set, and in-line styles. Neither is better optically than the others; the style of choice is a matter of your own personal preference.

How to Find Binoculars NASCAR nikon Reviews
Binoculars are available in a wide price range from about $55 to nearly $2,000. When it comes to binoculars costing $50 or less, the reviews posted at Amazon.com are the best resource.
In this price range, product reliability is far from certain. For example, while most users are quite satisfied with the Bushnell Falcon 10x50 binoculars, especially for their low cost (*est. $30), several Amazon.com contributors found that they suddenly disintegrated.
On the high end of prices for most people, performance between $200 to $500 binoculars and $500 to $1,000 binoculars doesn't justify the large price jump.
Most people will be completely happy with binoculars in the $200 to $500 price range
